Electronic Stimulation

Electronic Stimulation and Ultrasound

Electric stimulation is a therapeutic treatment that applies electrical stimulation in treating muscle spasms and pain. It can help decrease pain, increase circulation, and decrease edema. It is also helpful in keeping muscles active preventing atrophy and building strength in patients with injuries.

Ultrasound is another supplemental treatment modality commonly used in physical therapy. It provides deep heating to soft tissues in the body including muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments. It can help to decrease pain, increase tissue elasticity, degrade scar, increase cellular activity, and increases circulation.
